Assas Finance Conference "Business Lawyers and Bankers: key players in the deal"

On Thursday, November 29, 2018, Assas Finance association organized, in partnership with "ESSEC Transaction" and "Sciences Po Finance", its first conference around the issue "Business Lawyers and Bankers: key players in the deal".

The conference brought together more than 250 students from various Parisian trainings. Four speakers were invited: Ms. Razika Abchiche, Senior Vice-President in M&A Department, Lazard; Mr. Laurent Barbara, M&A operations business lawyer and partner at Baker & McKenzie; Mr. Xavier Petet, Counselor at Clifford Chance and Mrs. Julie Watremez of the M&A department of BNP Paribas.

At first, they enlightened the students on the conduct of a financial deal by explaining in particular the differences and complementarities of the professions of lawyer and banker during these operations. The lecture ended with a Q&A session.
